cFocus Software seeks a Enterprise Architect to join our program supporting the United States Air Force (USAF). This position is on-site in Linthicum Heights, MD. This position requires an Active TS/SCI clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • B.S. Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience developing enterprise architectures and modernization roadmaps aligned with mission needs.
  • Ability to produce DoDAF or successor framework documentation, designs, and current and target models.
  • Experience designing hybrid cloud integration, enterprise interfaces, and data interoperability.
  • Ability to assess technical debt, compare engineering alternatives, and develop cost and investment analyses.
  • Working knowledge of Zero Trust, RMF, ATO boundaries, impact levels, secure cross-domain integration, and architecture support for classified and unclassified systems.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, and configuration management practices.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; ability to facilitate stakeholder decisions and coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams.
Duties:
  • Develop, maintain, and guide execution of DC3 enterprise IT architecture, cloud strategy, and data strategy in alignment with mission priorities and Government-approved standards.
  • Assess current capabilities and develop target architectures and transition roadmaps spanning applications, data, networks, infrastructure, security, and enterprise services.
  • Define data-layer interoperability with the Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA), DAF Battle Network, Joint All Domain C2 (JADC2) systems, AF OSI Orion Case Management System, and other designated DoD systems of record.
  • Design integration across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, including edge computing and Government-approved cross-domain solutions for applicable security levels.
  • Establish, maintain, and evolve the Collect, Analyze, Disseminate, Operationalize-Integrated Solution (CADO-IS) enterprise architecture. Document it using the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or successor framework.
  • Prepare architecture views, technical designs, interface documentation, and as-built records for Government review. Maintain traceability between mission requirements, designs, and implementation.
  • Support enterprise portfolio governance, investment planning, and resource allocation. Analyze dependencies, costs, benefits, and build/buy options to inform Government decisions.
  • Assess technical debt across code architecture, obsolete infrastructure, security compliance gaps, and unmaintainable data schemas; contribute to the Enterprise Technical Debt Register.
  • Develop formal engineering trade studies comparing Refactor, Replatform, Replace, and Retire strategies with Total Cost of Ownership models before legacy architecture changes.
  • Guide approved modernization through modular DevSecOps sprints. Coordinate architecture standards for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, and security guardrails.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity teams on Zero Trust alignment, impact levels, authorization boundaries, RMF controls, and technical evidence supporting ATO or continuous ATO.
  • Support CADO-IS configuration management and change reviews across participating organizations, preserving architecture integrity, configuration traceability, and approved baselines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external mission partners to evaluate emerging technologies, resolve integration issues, and support adoption of Automated Data Obfuscation capabilities.
  • Incorporate resilience, service continuity, recoverability, monitoring, and lifecycle support into architecture designs; brief recommendations, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and executive stakeholders.
