Job Overview
cFocus Software is seeking an Integration Engineer Senior / Solutions Architect (Automation / Integration Engineer) to support the Security Tools and Infrastructure Modernization (STIM) contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).The Integration Engineer will provide senior-level expertise in designing, automating, and integrating enterprise IT systems to support modernization, security, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise systems integration solutions across applications, databases, and infrastructure.
- Possess over 8 years of experience designing and developing APIs and data
integrations for enterprise IT systems, including at least 3 years working with an
Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform including RSA
Archer. - Design and build REST and SOAP-based API integrations between the GRC
platform and external systems such as HSDW, CDM, CyberScope, and other
HHS analytics tools. - Develop secure, authenticated data flows using JSON/XML structures and
aligned with HHS cybersecurity and privacy policies. - Collaborate with developers and business analysts to define integration
requirements and establish data transformation logic. - Support HHS enterprise reporting by enabling automated data pulls from the
GRC platform into metrics platforms and compliance dashboards. - Monitor, test, and troubleshoot data exchange pipelines and ensure uptime,
accuracy, and performance of integration solutions.
Required Experience
- 8–10+ years of IT engineering, systems integration, and automation experience.
- Extensive experience developing automation solutions with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar tools.
- Hands-on expertise with APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven ability to lead integration engineering efforts and provide architecture-level guidance.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Preferred certifications include RSA Archer Certified Administrator, MuleSoft
Developer, or relevant API security credentials.
Clearance Requirement
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Moderate to High-Risk) clearance.
