cFocus Software seeks a Network Administrator to join our program supporting the United States Air Force (USAF). This position is on-site in Linthicum Heights, MD. This position requires an Active TS/SCI clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • B.S. Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience administering enterprise networks and configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and associated infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN operations, routing and switching, IP addressing, and secure connectivity across on-premises and hybrid environments.
  • Ability to diagnose network faults, analyze performance and logs, restore connectivity, and coordinate incident escalation.
  • Experience applying secure configuration baselines, implementing patches, and supporting vulnerability remediation and STIG compliance.
  • Ability to maintain network diagrams and configuration records, follow change management procedures, and provide technical evidence for security assessments.
  • Ability to evaluate network utilization and capacity needs and recommend practical infrastructure improvements.
  • Clear communication skills for working with users, providers, and technical teams
Duties:
  • Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, hubs, and cabling in accordance with Government-approved architecture and security baselines.
  • Operate and secure assigned network infrastructure, coordinating with systems administrators on server and storage connectivity and supporting approved on-premises, cloud, and hybrid integrations.
  • Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and security. Configure approved alerts, maintain comprehensive logs, and investigate connectivity problems, degradation, and outages.
  • Resolve escalated network incidents with service desk and NOC personnel. Coordinate restoration, document corrective actions, and communicate status.
  • Deploy approved network updates and configuration changes under Government-authorized release schedules, change controls, and DevSecOps procedures.
  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, and as-built documentation. Track repairs, changes, additions, and removals through approved configuration management processes.
  • Support automated network discovery and provide inventory data, utilization reports, and capacity planning recommendations for Government review by the last business day of each month.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for network upgrades, equipment replacement, repairs, and infrastructure changes, including support for virtual environments and cloud services.
  • Coordinate patching, vulnerability remediation, and secure configurations with cybersecurity personnel. Implement and verify applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Monitor for security incidents and respond to network alerts under the approved Incident Response Plan. Supply network logs and technical data, and implement directed corrective actions.
  • Maintain Government-approved network security tools and technical controls. Provide evidence and documentation supporting Risk Management Framework compliance and ATO or continuous ATO requirements.
  • Maintain current external service provider contacts and coordinate rapid response when service disruptions involve those providers.
  • Immediately notify the Government of circumstances outside contractor control that may prevent meeting availability targets. Support written notification to designated DC3 contacts within 30 minutes of Priority 1 incidents during weekday business hours.
  • Support NOC/SOC monitoring, sensor integration with AFCYBER and the Cybersecurity Service Provider, and enterprise scanning connectivity.
