Job Description: Sr. Geospatial Analyst

The Sr. Geospatial Analyst will provide advanced geospatial analysis, data integration, and visualization to support DHS mission operations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct complex spatial analyses using ArcGIS, QGIS, and related tools.
Integrate multiple geospatial and non-geospatial datasets to create actionable intelligence products.
Support operational planning with geospatial briefings and map products.
Develop automated geoprocessing models and scripts.
Advise leadership on geospatial capabilities and data requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.
6+ years of geospatial analysis experience.

10+ years of experience without a Masters or Bachelor’s degree required
Proficiency in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and data visualization.
Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with DHS geospatial programs.
Knowledge of intelligence analysis workflows.

Security Clearance

The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS suitability determination, complete the Entry on Duty (EOD) process, and pass required background checks. U.S. citizenship is required.

Strong understanding and practical application of project management and Agile methodologies, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., PMBOK, Agile).

Ability to apply advanced expertise in project management, process improvement, outreach, training, requirements gathering, geospatial governance, and website design and maintenance.

Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.

Change management experience with a large IT organization and system

Ability to facilitate collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.

Ability to facilitate Scrum events, coach and mentor teams, and remove impediments that hinder team progress.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including remote and distributed teams.

Experience in conflict resolution, team building, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Understanding of data science principles in support of the data-based approaches

Performing tasks, similar in size and scope to the ones in the SOW, on a previous government project

Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent documented project management expertise acquired from an industry-standard provider within 6 months of contract start.

Ability to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized.

Experience tracking and communicating team progress and metrics to stakeholders using Agile metrics.*
