Logistics, Inventory, and Asset Control Administrator- HHS STIM
cFocus Software is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator IV – Logistics, Inventory, and Asset Control to support the Security Tools and Infrastructure Modernization (STIM) contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This role is responsible for the coordination, tracking, and management of logistics operations, inventory systems, and government assets. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with federal guidelines, optimize logistics processes, and maintain accurate records across multiple systems and locations.
Responsibilities
Logistics
Coordinate and monitor the movement of products, materials, and equipment between sites and to customers.
Schedule inbound and outbound shipments to optimize delivery timelines and minimize costs.
Ensure compliance with federal shipping and transportation regulations.
Liaise with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Maintain accurate documentation for all logistics activities, including bills of lading and shipping manifests.
Inventory Control
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
Perform regular inventory counts (cycle counts and full audits) and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Analyze inventory trends and usage patterns to support procurement planning.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all inventory items.
Provide quarterly evaluations of system warranties and document expiration timelines.
Asset Control
Track and manage company/government assets across multiple departments and locations.
Assign asset tags, record serial numbers, and maintain a detailed asset register.
Conduct regular asset audits to verify presence, condition, and location of assets.
Coordinate asset movement, repair, transfer, and disposal in compliance with government policies and guidelines.
General Responsibilities
Generate reports on stock levels, asset utilization, and logistics KPIs for management review.
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements in logistics and inventory workflows.
Ensure workplace safety and proper handling of equipment and materials.
Use Government-furnished systems (Sunflower) to log and track activities.
Provide subject matter expertise to support IT infrastructure and modernization projects.
Mentor junior staff in logistics, inventory, and asset management best practices.
Required Experience
8+ years of experience in logistics coordination, inventory management, and asset control in federal or enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of inventory management tools, asset tracking systems, and logistics operations.
Familiarity with Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS) or similar government-furnished systems preferred.
Experience maintaining compliance with federal property and logistics policies.
Proven ability to analyze data and provide actionable recommendations for process improvement.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Preferred certifications: Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP).
Clearance Requirement
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Moderate to High-Risk) clearance.
