cFocus Software seeks a Systems Administrator to join our program supporting the United States Air Force (USAF). This position is on-site in Linthicum Heights, MD. This position requires an Active TS/SCI clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • B.S. Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience administering enterprise servers, operating systems, virtual infrastructure, and cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Ability to provision and troubleshoot systems, manage application configurations and authorized user access, and diagnose performance or availability problems.
  • Experience with patch management, secure configuration baselines, vulnerability remediation, and STIG implementation.
  • Working knowledge of server and storage infrastructure, network connectivity, monitoring, log analysis, and incident troubleshooting.
  • Ability to use scripting or infrastructure automation, maintain configuration records, and follow controlled deployment and change management procedures.
  • Ability to support recovery testing and document systems for cybersecurity assessments.
  • Clear communication skills for working with users and technical teams
Duties:
  • Provision, configure, administer, and maintain physical, virtual, and cloud servers in accordance with Government-approved designs, security requirements, and configuration baselines.
  • Provide server hosting and maintenance within the global hybrid cloud data center, following Government-specified physical and environmental security requirements.
  • Deploy and manage system updates and releases under approved schedules and procedures. Deploy applications to production following successful testing and Government authorization.
  • Configure applications and supporting infrastructure under approved baselines and change management procedures; support thin client, virtual environment, and cloud infrastructure changes.
  • Provision user accounts and access permissions only as authorized and directed by the Government. Support enterprise identity, credential, and access management activities within the assigned scope.
  • Continuously monitor system and application performance, availability, and security. Maintain comprehensive logs, investigate degradation, and report outages under the approved Incident Response Plan.
  • Apply patches and secure configurations, implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and remediate assigned vulnerability findings in coordination with cybersecurity personnel.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and support Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code processes. Record changes in approved repositories and follow cybersecurity review requirements before production deployment.
  • Maintain approved security tools and provide system data, logs, and corrective actions for incident response. Coordinate escalation and restoration with service desk, NOC, SOC, and infrastructure teams.
  • Administer assigned server and storage components and coordinate with network personnel on connectivity, approved network configurations, and secure infrastructure maintenance.
  • Provide inventory information, utilization reports, and capacity planning recommendations for Government review by the last business day of each month. Recommend upgrades, repairs, or replacements based on operational data.
  • Document system configurations, repairs, additions, removals, and other changes through the approved DevSecOps process. Maintain technical procedures and as-built documentation for assigned systems.
  • Provide technical evidence and monitoring data supporting Risk Management Framework compliance and Authorization to Operate or continuous ATO requirements. Assist with continuity planning and twice-yearly recovery testing.
