Mid IT Business Analyst (Scrum Master)
Position Summary
The Mid IT Business Analyst (Scrum Master) will serve as a liaison between stakeholders and the technical team, facilitating communication, gathering and documenting requirements, and ensuring Agile best practices are followed. This role combines business analysis expertise with Scrum Master responsibilities to support IT development efforts in alignment with organizational objectives and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process workflows.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams, removing impediments and ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
- Collaborate with product owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements for development teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood, validated, and implemented effectively.
- Monitor project progress, performance metrics, and deliverables to ensure alignment with objectives.
- Support quality assurance by reviewing test cases and validating solutions against requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the development team and across projects.
- Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Scrum Master, or related role if degree has been earned.
- 8+ years of experience as a BA/Scrum Master without bachelor’s/masters
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with proven facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
- Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required by the program.
